The Buddha is reported to have said;

"It is possible to travel the whole world in search of one who is more worthy of compassion than oneself.  No such person can be found".

He also said;
"No it would not be true to say that the cultivation of loving kindness and compassion is part of our practice.  It would be true to say that the cultivation of loving kindness is all of our practice".

DICTIONARY MEANING

Main Entry;         com-pas-sion
Meaning  ;          sympathetic consciousness of others' distress together with a desire to                                  alleviate it.

WHAT IS COMPASSION TO ME?

The ability to look at another and feel empathy towards them without judgment, no matter what their actions.  It is not our place to try to fix another, each of us walks our path that which our soul contracted to before it's first journey.

Trying to fix is  process from the ego.

Over the last 7 or 8 months we have become increasingly aware of the impact Kuan Yin, Isis and the Virgin Mother Mary are making on this earth plane.  They are bringing the message of compassion and being without judgment to more and more of us, so that we can live by this creed in our own day to day existence.  One thing I have noticed is the ability for a person to be selective about what they have compassion for, yet be dogmatic and have no compassion about something they don't  like.  An example, is someone may have compassion for a very overweight person but absolutely none for a person of a different religion.  Usually this is fear or ignorance based.  Certainly compassion has become lost, a by product of the 3rd dimensional, 'what is in it for me'.  Thankfully the earth and humanity, with the help of all the amazing people out there who have awakened and are helping raise the frequency of others, is progressing towards the 5th Dimension, one of hope and 'what can I do to be of service'.

Kuan Yin has been by my side all this year, I was also unaware until later that my favourite Mantra, Om Mani Padme Hum is her Mantra and I have been listening and singing to it for years.  Although when I awakened I made the choice to live more of a spiritual life, but amazingly since Kuan Yin came into my life, with little effort on my part I find I am becoming more and more compassionate, especially for those, most have unkind thoughts towards.  We don't have to condone things that other people might be doing, or the way they live their lives, but we do heed to have compassion for them as human beings.  Even in instances where it is very difficult to have higher frequency thoughts, we can remember that most people are not born bad, they simply have different wiring, upbringing or any number of other circumstantial events which have shaped them to be the people they are today.  Our friends too, need compassion and non judgment from us, no two people are the same and we need to let go of control and understand that "my way isn't necessarily the only way."

From the Dali Lama;
"If you want others to be happy, practice compassion.  If you want to be happy, practice compassion."
"The whole process of religion is to facilitate love and compassion, patience, tolerance, humility, forgiveness."

How many religions do we know that have forgotten this?
How many base their teachings on fear?

The Egyptian New Year was celebrated around the June Solstice.  This was marked by the alignment of the sun with our brightest star Sirius.  Through this alignment we have a strong connection with the Goddess Isis and the cosmic frequencies of Sirius bringing to earth more love and compassion.

Kuan Yin- Goddess of Mercy and Compassion

Living in the NOW

It is an illusion to believe that you are your past, or your future, reality is the present.  Your past has gone, there is nothing you can do to change it, if it bothers you why does it?  Thinking of the past doesn't seem to help you now, usually it will only cause you negative feelings such as sorrow or pain, because it is our nature to dwell on the negative.  If you have made mistakes in the past learn from them, give thanks for the lessons and get back to the NOW.
Thinking of the future doesn't help you in the present, when you think forward to the future, what you are going to do, where you are going.....All it means is you are not enjoying the moment.  What happens when the wonderful thing you are looking forward to comes and goes, or doesn't come at all? You feel empty and need something else to replace the emptyiness, something new to look forward to.  Enjoy every moment, even it it is a very painful one.

Existence knows only one tense- the present.  It neither knows the past, because it is no more, nor does it know the future, because it is not yet.  But the mind is always concerned either with the past or with the futue, never with the present.  Do you see?

Living an Authentic Life

Namaste,
We are half way through the year and what I have noticed with my clients, and friends is that we have become so much clearer about what our purpose is.  We have a sense that everything will be alright. and we feel the ability to manifest a more spiritually thinking, balanced lifestyle.

One of the questions I find I'm being most asked is, how do I live authentically?  Yes, it's not an easy thing to do, as letting the ego take back step to anything is a nightmare in itself, but like everything else, we need to practice it on a daily basis, then one day you'll wake up and realise that it has become a habit and requires very little input on a daily basis.

Take a look at how you are living your life, is there one or more  things you are unhappy about.  How is your personal, work and social life, are you living it in the best way you can? By identifying these, you can make a concentrated effort to change that which no longer serves you.  Listen to you inner voice, your body, your reactions to situations and events, your joys and sorrows.  Very quickly you will see what is or is not authentic for you.  Just with the daily grind to survive in the Western world, we let the if's and buts take control as it's easier to ignore than to accept that, which we find hard to deal with.

Rather than dwelling on the negative way we feel, start to shift your focus to the way you would feel if things were different, the bliss and joy you would feel.  One of the practices you can do is instead of listening to your negative thoughts, don't let them take over, instead imagine you have an elastic band on your wrist and ping it, feel the pain?.  Immediately you can change your thought to a positive one.  Do this every time, cause our EGO wants to be that, large and overpowering, it thinks it's very special, it will fight you every-time.  It's easier to live in despair, to be a victim rather than a person living their authentic life and in happiness.

Over time, you will slowly see the life you are destined  to live, the one your soul had contracted to do before it's first journey.

I leave you with a quote:
You are what your deep, driving desire is.  As your desire is, so is you will.
As your will is, so is you deed.  As your deed is so is your destiny.
                                                                         Brihadaranyaka Upanishad IV 4.5
My Take on it,
Fill your mind with positive thoughts, when we think negatively we are tuning our subconscious to believe negative things.  It takes about 21 days to change our subconscious thoughts, by imputing creative positive ones.  How many times do we fill our minds with small negative chit chat, often we aren't even aware of it.  Take notice.

Be careful of what we create, we create our own reality.

Blessings, love light and joy
